And Grandma has veto power…if she doesn’t like it, you have to go again.

Wedding Dance

I’m in such a great mood today! The finale of “The Bacehelorette” aired last night, I saw the Robbins Brothers TV commercial which always makes me smile, and I just watched the complete video of the dancing bridal party entrance at the church in Minnesota. (Yes, the one that landed on all the news stations!) WOW. At my desk, drinking Coffee Bean and couldn’t stop laughing. It’s clever and cute, but even more importantly I could see myself doing something like this for my own wedding. No, seriously. My friends and I love to dance and what better occasion to do it than your wedding. Besides, I don’t think my guests would be too surprised…or would they?!?!
Well…my friends, family and coworkers cheered me on for my TV debut on Singing Office hosted by Joey Fatone and Mel B. I had so much fun with colleagues and we danced like no one was watching. So….I have no problem with dancing at one of the most important events in my life. My Wedding! In the meantime I’ll start praciticing, so when I meet “The One” and he gives me “The Ring” I’ll be ready to dance the night away. Ooooh I can’t wait! Tra
The Rest of My Life
A great proposal story as told by the newly engaged Chanly Kong of Montclair, CA.

My recent engagement was truly a once in a lifetime moment for me. What I thought was a regular concert turned out to be one of the most memorable moments of my life. In fact, it was the beginning of the rest of my life. Case and point: My boyfriend, Antwan, and I had bought tickets to see Robin Thicke and Jennifer Hudson live in concert at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. The week of the concert Antwan was awfully cheerful and excited, which was a dead give away that something big was about to happen.
The evening of the concert, we went to a restaurant called Yard House. He sat directly across from me, smiling and showing off his excitement. With his constant excitement I had my suspicions that something was about to happen…. He made me so anxious that I wanted him to ask me already but of course I remained calm and enjoyed the rest of the evening. Before we went into the theater we sat outside holding each other, laughing and confessing the qualities we love about the other. I thought for sure that he was going to ask me to marry him then but I guess the timing wasn’t right.
Once the concert started I soon forgot about the proposal. Towards the end of his performance we were both on our feet dancing in place to a song originally sang by the group Jodeci, Come and Talk to Me. Once the song ended we both sat down. Robin Thicke announced that there were two special people in the audience he wanted to introduce. Not thinking much about it, I sat in my seat not paying much attention to what was going on…. The next thing I knew Antwan name was called and he stood up. Then the spotlight suddenly came towards us. I felt Antwan pull me towards him and to my great surprise Robin Thicke called my name! I was in such disbelief that I can’t recall my thoughts or facial expression made at that moment but I certainly remember Robin Thicke saying loud and clear that there was something Antwan wanted to ask me. Suddenly I hear the roar of excitement expressed by the audience. Antwan pulled out a little box, opened it and asked me, “Will you marry me?”
The moment felt so surreal that I couldn’t even verbally reply to his question. Instead all I could muster was a nod “Yes.” I was so mesmerized by the moment that I felt as if we were the only two people in that auditorium. We just kept kissing and hugging by saying “I love you, I love you!” Then the next thing I heard was Robin Thicke asking, “So what’d she say?” Antwan then raised his arm high in the air singled a thumb up to publicize my answer. For the rest of that evening I had a smile on my face. By the end of the concert there were many people coming up to congratulate us. It is a night I will never forget. When I think about it now, the excitement consumes me all over again. If I had to describe my proposal in one word it would be…magical.
How did he make this night possible? The answer is he had great help from the employees of Robbins Brothers so I am expressing my deepest gratitude to all the employees of Robbins Brothers who made my evening more than perfect. From the engagement ring to the proposal I could not have asked for more. Tra
Angelina and Brad, Diane and Josh: Random Acts of Romance at the 81st Oscars

The 2009 Oscars proved to be a dazzling event.
Although I wasn’t at the Kodak theater, I had the best seat in the house (our leather sectional in the family room), wore my comfiest sweats, and indulged in fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies. My husband knows that Academy Awards night is my “Superbowl” and he graciously leaves me alone to cheer on my favorite stars and movies, and even gives me the big TV two hours before “kick-off” so I can watch the celebrities walk the red carpet.
The star couples of the night were Brad & Angelina (oh, those mesmerizing emeralds, Angie. Can’t wait to see what style of diamond – or emerald? – engagement ring you’ll choose when the time comes!), Josh Brolin & Diane Lane (snuggling at a post-Oscar party in photo - what an adorable Random Act of Romance!), Jennifer Anniston and John Mayer, Sean Penn and his gorgeous wife Robin. And yes, Steve Martin had me in stitches when he told fellow presenter, Tina Fey: “Do not fall in love with me!”
I was teary-eyed during a few thank you speeches, especially the non-celebrity winners in categories such as sound editing, documentary and animation, as well as by Best Actress winner Kate Winslet . When accepting the Oscar in front of millions of viewers, what is more romantic than thanking the man or woman who has waited for you during the 18 hour days during production and post-production of your cinematic masterpiece? The most magnificent random act of romance is perhaps an “I Love You” to your husband or wife in the audience, with that Oscar statue in hand, standing up on the stage in front of Brad, Angie, Josh, Diane, Jennifer and John, et al.
